چکیده

Abstract The mitigation process of greenhouse gases emission such as CO2 into the atmosphere is known a vital necessity in modern societies. Nowadays, amino acid salt solutions (AASSs) have been extensively applied promising alternative to alkanol amine absorbents increase sequestration efficiency from disparate gaseous flows. This article aims computationally and theoretically evaluate separation percentage using potassium glycinate (PG), lysinate (PL), sarcosinate (PS) threonate (PT) an inlet mixture inside hydrophobic membrane contactor (HMC). To do this, governing first principal equations HMC are solved computational fluid dynamics procedure based on finite element technique. Acceptable agreement between simulation results experimental values with average deviation approximately 3% implies validation developed two-dimensional (2D) approach this study. analysis obtained demonstrated that PG most efficient solution for molecular ability separating 90% system. order PG > 89.3% PT > 77.4% PL > 72.3% PS.

Development of New Potassium Carbonate Sorbent for CO2 Capture under Real Flue Gas Conditions

In this paper, the development of a new potassium carbonateon alumina support sorbent prepared by impregnating K2CO3 with an industrial grade of Al2O3 support was investigated. The CO2 capture capacity was measured using real flue gas with 8% CO2 and 12% H2O in a fixed-bed reactor at a temperature of 65 °C using breakthrough curves. The developed sorbent showed an adsorption capacity of 66.2 mg...

Modelling potassium uptake by wheat

A model has been used to simulate potassium (K) uptake by wheat in a pot culture experiment. Three soils from India, namely Alfisol, Inceptisol and Vertisol, were differentially K exhausted by Sudan grass (Surghum vulgare var. Sudanensis) for a period of 280 days and were used to simulate potassium uptake by wheat (Triticum aestivum) and also to predict the amounts of K released or fixed during...

Active Sodium and Potassium Transport in High Potassium and Low Potassium Sheep Red Cells

The kinetic characteristics of the ouabain-sensitive (Na + K) transport system (pump) of high potassium (HK) and low potassium (LK) sheep red cells have been investigated. In sodium medium, the curve relating pump rate to external K is sigmoid with half maximal stimulation (K(1/2)) occurring at 3 mM for both cell types, the maximum pump rate in HK cells being about four times that in LK cells. ...
